“KIDZONE”

We’re going to have all the exciting activities on Boyd Street that we had last year…only more. You won’t believe all the educational information we have for you. All about our environment, bugs, birds, butterflies, frogs, snakes, planting and tending gardens and water conservation.

The 2008 KidZone will be an exciting two days that will also include educational programs for kids of all ages. All you kids will want to Zone in on all the activities on Boyd Street this year:

* Lisa, our stilt-walker/balloon-making lady, will be with us from 11:00 to 3:00 both days this year. She can make those balloons do the most unusual things and turn them into all sorts of shapes. She’s amazing!

* You’ve make pictures with markers and paints…how about SAND? Come try it out…you can put it all in a bottle!

* Trace your family tree with oranges…ORANGES? The Winter Garden Heritage Society will help you trace your family tree…come see!

* You can paint some caladium leaves and learn about gardening and caring for outside plants from the Nehrling Society this year.

* The Elementary School Art Contest WINNERS will be on display. We have some amazing young artists in Central Florida!

* Funny Fotos will be taken again, so you’ll have a photo souvenir of the day.

* You can get a ladybug, butterfly, or flower painted on your face by that cute lady clown from 11:00 to 3:00 both days…what’ll it bee?

* Dennis and the guys from Winter Garden Water Conservation group will help you try out a couple of fun water experiments.

* Do you need a new pet? How about taking a ladybug home? The Winter Garden Recreation Department will help you make a BUG CATCHER and equip it with a ladybug or two!

* You’ll be able to plant some seeds or bulbs to nurture and watch grow.

* Hubbs-SeaWorld Research Institute will be there again this year with some real artifacts from the sea. And how about making an origami whale?

* After you’ve learned a bunch about nature and our environment, you can jump around on one of the two MOON WALKS…have a cool soda, or some popcorn, or cotton candy.

* The Railway Museum will have train rides though Winter Garden again this year. It is so much fun. Who knows where it will take you??

While Mom and Dad, Grandma and Grandpa are having fun on the main street…ALL KIDS come and ZONE in on the fun in KIDZONE 2008! See you there!
