Ask the Experts
We present an “Ask the Expert” feature throughout the day, which consists of demonstrations or question and answer opportunities pertaining to the particular subject being featured at the time. You’ll find, however, that our Experts are able to answer any and all of your gardening questions!
This year we will have Ed Thralls, Kelly Greer and Amy Vu from the UF Orange County Extension Service, Robert Bowden from Orlando’s Harry P. Leu Gardens, and Tom MacCubbin.

11:00-1:00 pm BACKYARD BEEKEEPING, AMY VU, Urban Horticulture Extension Agent/Master Gardener Coordinator, UF-Orange County IFAS Extension.
1:00-3:00 pm YOU CAN DO IT! FIVE EASY VEGETABLES TO GROW! ROBERT BOWDEN, Executive Director of the City of Orlando’s renowned Harry P. Leu Gardens, author and teacher.
3:00-5:00 pm MINI GARDENING – FAIRY GARDENS, KATHY & RAY ROBERTS, co-owners of Central Florida Ferns and Foliage, a wholesale business growing exotic and tropical ferns of all kinds and many unusual and funky house plants. They are avid collectors themselves and love talking about their treasures and also enjoy working with terrariums, mini-gardens and fairy gardening, which are very popular right now.
